The ball has become a ball in the NBA, with yesterday’s announcement that the current Spalding balls will be replaced by Wilson after almost ’40 years.
The NBA announced on Wednesday that they will say goodbye to Spalding, which has provided the league’s toy since 1983, after 38 years. The new ball maker will be Wilson, the company already shipped NBA balls between 1946 and 1983.
According to the league’s announcement, the Women’s Championship (WNBA) and three other series of interests will also be continued with the new manufacturer.
They entered into a long-term partnership with Wilson, the financial details of which were not disclosed.
