According to Thursday’s announcement of the series, two races of the race would be held at the Spanish venue in a row, and the Andalusian leadership, the city council and the series ’promoter have sent a joint permit application to the Spanish government.
If the latter gives permission to organize, the MotoGP season would start on July 19 and 26, while for a week later, on August 2, the venue would host the Superbike World Championship field.
It is not about the exact conditions under which the organizers would hold the competitions, but it is almost certainly behind closed doors, with only minimal staff involved.
A month ago, Carmelo Ezpeleta, managing director of the promoter company, said he hopes to start the World Cup in July, which will require a minimum of about 1,600 people to run the races. The factory teams could employ 40 people and the private stables 25 people, in the lower categories there could be 20 (Moto2) and 15 (Moto3) people per team.
The World Speed Speed Championships originally started on March 8 in Qatar, but only the Moto2 and Moto3 races were held there, and the Moto GP was already behind. Since then, three races (German, Assen and Finnish Grand Prix) have been canceled and four more (Spanish, French, Italian and Catalan Grand Prix) have been postponed.
