Tünde Szabó, Secretary of State for Sports, Olympic Silver Medal Swimmer, has been elected Vice-President of the European Swimming Association (LEN) at the organisation's Sunday election congress, which was held online due to the coronavirus epidemic.
According to the report of the Hungarian Swimming Association, the election procedure was carried out with the program of an international company specializing in the field, with a notary public supervising the process in its headquarters in London.
The vote came as no surprise: Italian President Paolo Barelli, who has been in office since 2012, won by an overwhelming majority again against his French challenger, Gilles Sezionale, thus starting his third term at the head of the alliance.
