All eight, ie the permanent competition venues used after the Games, were completed for the Summer, Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
Organizers announced this on Friday, signaling that construction work on the water center to house the swimmers was completed in late February and the facility will inaugurate on March 22nd.
The other seven venues in question have been completed earlier, including the Olympic Stadium, which was completed last November. The lawn stadium and slalom kayak-canoe track are also among the facilities that will not be rebuilt or demolished after the games.
The Olympics and subsequent Paralympics will feature a total of 43 competition venues.
For the time being, it is questionable whether the Olympics will actually begin on July 24 due to the coronavirus epidemic. Japanese Minister Hasimoto Szeiko, who is in charge of the Olympic Games, said on Tuesday it is possible in principle not to hold the Tokyo Summer Games later in the year than at the original time, but the International Olympic Committee insists on the original date.
