On Thursday, the presidency of the Hungarian Kayak-Canoe Association (MKKSZ) approved the framework set by the federal captain Csaba Hüttner for the World Championships in Copenhagen in September.
According to the MKKSZ website, ten Olympians took part in the Hungarian team, and Bálint Kopasz, the Olympic gold medalist in Tokyo on the K-1 1000 meters, will compete with Csaba Erdőssy on the K-2,500 meters in addition to the king number and will also be on the boat as a member of the four. At the K-1 200 meters, five-ring champion Sándor Tótka will miss the World Cup, so in this number, the fourth Csizmadia Kolos in Tokyo can represent the Hungarian colors.
In the women's K-1,500 meters, the Olympic silver medalist Tamara Csipes will start, while in pairs, the unit consisting of Danuta Kozák, Dóra Bodonyi, who won a bronze medal in Tokyo. The five-ring gold medal women's quartet will start in the same line-up in the Danish capital as in Tokyo.
In men's canoe, Balázs Adolf can start in 1000 and 5000 meters in singles, while in pairs, the duo of Ádám Fekete Hajdu, the winner of the Hungarian championship qualifying in the doubles, can start in 500 meters.
In a women's canoe, Balla Virág will take to the water in Denmark as a member of the four Olympic tracks.
