Two-time Grand Slam winner Simona Halep made it to the third round of the Australian Open tennis women’s race with a smooth success.
The former world leader of the Romanians lost just two booms on Thursday against Beatriz Haddad Maia of Brazil in 83rd place, who bid farewell to Anna Anna Bondár and her Georgian partner in pairs on Wednesday.
In the men’s tenth place in the world rankings, Jannik Sinner also easily defeated American Steve Johnson. In the first ATP match of his still 20-year-old Italian life, he beat Máté Valkusz in the 2019 tournament in Budapest, which has since ended.
