Xavi is upset, he thinks what happened is outrageous

Losing at home to Internazionale, FC Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez gave an angry assessment after Tuesday's game day of the Champions League group stage.

"I'm upset, nobody understands what happened. I wanted to talk to the referee to tell him why he didn't blow the whistle. It's a huge injustice, after which he should have come to us to explain what happened. Instead, he left," the head coach of the Catalans seethed after the referee Slavko Vincic did not award a penalty following a tackle on Denzel Dumfries in the 90th minute, and Inter won 1-0.

Xavi also pointed out that his team did not play as he expected, his players could not sell their situations, so despite stopping the opponent's attacks well, they lost.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi, on the other hand, said that his team won an important victory from which they should draw confidence.

"We are going through a difficult period, but this victory against Barcelona will stay with us. My players were in good shape and put their hearts on the pitch," said Inzaghi, whose team is second in the group with six points.

After three rounds, the four are led by Bayern Munich with nine points, which knocked out Czech Plzen 5-0 on Tuesday, thus setting a new record: the Bavarian star team is now undefeated in the BL group stage for 31 games. The previous record of 30 matches was set by Real Madrid between 2012 and 2017.

Napoli scored six goals at the home of Ajax, which has 13 goals in three rounds. Its head coach, Luciano Spalletti, said after the match that even Diego Maradona would be proud of the team.

"When you play in a stadium with such a great atmosphere, it's not easy to find the right way immediately after a goal. We could have been confused, but the team did what they had to do: they didn't let those conditions affect them and achieved a great success. We played very well , even Maradona would have been proud today," said the Italian specialist, whose club is at the top of Group A with a 100 percent performance.

Napoli scored six goals in the European Cup for the first time in their history, while Ajax suffered their heaviest defeat in any series since November 1964.
