The Croatian national team won the bronze medal at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar after defeating the Moroccan team 2-1 in the third place match on Saturday.
Both sides started with open-faced, brave play, and after the quick change of goals, according to Morocco's usual tactics, they closed back in their half of the field and handed the initiative to their opponent. The Croatians took advantage of this and created opportunities, thanks to the fact that the Moroccan defense took more risks than before and made more mistakes. However, after the 30th minute, the African team gained strength, took control and created chances. The European team still scored a goal, despite the fact that they were forced to defend most of the time in this phase of the match.
After the break, Morocco, which was at a disadvantage, tried to attack, but its actions were repeatedly interrupted by the disciplined Croatians. In addition to creativity, the African team also lacked strength and momentum, so the European opponent maintained their advantage routinely and without excitement. In the middle of the half, the game became fragmented, there were players from both teams who sat down on the ground and indicated that this was the end of the World Cup for him and asked for a replacement. In the final game, Morocco conscientiously started to attack again, but even then they could not create a scoring chance, even though in the moments before the whistle En-Nesjiri headed inches over the crossbar after an arc.
