After fifteen years, Marcelo is leaving the recent Champions League winner Real Madrid football team.
The 34-year-old left-back confirmed his departure from the Spanish champions after the 1-0 win over Liverpool in the Paris Champions League final on Saturday.
"This was my last game with Real," declared the Brazilian classic, who watched the final at the Stade de France from the bench.
According to news, the 58-time national team player will continue his career in his home country.
Marcelo Vieira da Silva Junior set a club record earlier this month by winning his 24th trophy with the Blancos in the Spanish league title. The South American international arrived from Fluminense in 2007 and scored 26 times in 386 matches. In the last 15 years, he has won the Champions League five times and the Club World Cup four times, the European Super Cup three times, the Spanish Championship six times, the Spanish Cup twice and the Spanish Super Cup five times.
