The German team ran into a historic defeat in the final round of the Football League of Nations group stage.
In almost 90 years, for the first time since May 24, 1931, he lost by a six-goal difference to the German national football team, which was 6-0 in the final round of the League of Nations group stage in Seville on Tuesday night as a Spanish guest.
Eighty-nine years ago, the Austrians also won 6-0 in Berlin, and the Nationalelf had only one greater defeat in its history: on March 13, 1909, in Oxford, the English beat the Germans 9-0.
The fourth match of the German national team, which was lost by the biggest difference, can be attributed to the Golden Team led by Ferenc Puskás. On the list of the biggest defeats of the Germans there is another clash against the Hungarians, on September 24, 1939, the hospitality team won 5-1 in Budapest.
Joachim Löw has been leading the Nationalelf since 2006, and during his reign until Tuesday night, the band has never scored more than three goals. There were only two examples of defeats of this magnitude twice: in October 2007 in Munich, the Czech Republic, and in October 2018 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands won 3-0 against the Germans.
