Péter Gulácsi, who is dealing with a minor injury, is confident that he will be available to RB Leipzig again in the weekend round of the German football championship.
The goalkeeper of the Hungarian national team - who missed last week's league game against Leipzig due to a thigh injury - said that he was only training in the gym for now.
"However, I can do all the exercises there, which gives me hope for my weekend game," Gulácsi said, adding that the injured body part is tested every day.
The players from Leipzig, without a team captain, lost 2-1 as guests of Union Berlin, András Schäfer played in the winning team and Willi Orbán played in the losing team from among the Hungarian national teams. The latter also did not train with the team on Tuesday due to a minor thigh injury. At the same time, the third Hungarian legionnaire of the guard, the attacker Dominik Szoboszlai, is ready to play after his suspension.
Gulácsi said about the weak start to the season: they must definitely beat Wolfsburg on Saturday, because that would give the team peace of mind.
"Just playing well and not winning is not going to help us right now," he said. "We shouldn't take the attitude that we still have time and we'll get there, we have to start collecting victories, which can be the basis for a good series afterwards," he added.
After three rounds, RB Leipzig is in 11th place in the Bundesliga with 2 points, its guest on Saturday, Wolfsburg, is also in 14th place with 2 points.
