In China, football team players have been strictly banned from making new tattoos for themselves.
The country’s sports authority has stated that players must “show a positive spirit and set a good example” in preserving the moral values inherent in Chinese society.
"It is strictly forbidden for members of the national team and youth team under the age of 23 to have new tattoos. Those who already have tattoos are advised to remove them themselves," the State Sports Bureau of the People's Republic of China said in a resolution.
