Premier League - Coming to Manchester, Aston Villa could take the lead

Manchester United are hosting Chelsea in the most anticipated match of the sixth round of the English Football Championship from Friday to Monday.

Neither team started the season in an explosive form: the Londoners are eighth in eighth place and the Manchesterians, who have played one game less, are only modest in 15th place. Both teams were in the BL on Tuesday, but while Frank Lampard’s team played a goal-free draw at home against defending champions Sevilla in the Europa League, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team took all three points from the home of BL finalist Paris Saint-Germain in August.

Chelsea defeated MU for the last time in the Premier League quite a long time ago, in November 2017, and has to go back to its most recent away league championship until 2013: since then, there have been two home successes at Old Trafford in addition to four draws. Before Saturday’s clash, Lampard can be reassured that Timo Werner of Germany was able to be successful twice in the previous round, while Edinson Cavani of Uruguay, acquired from PSG, will be able to present himself at this meeting on the home side.

The round opens with a 100 percent match between Aston Villa and rookie Leeds United. In the final season, Birmingham, who have made it to the final round, will be at the forefront of the Premier League if they defeat their rivals.

Everton, who also started the season well, with four wins and a draw, will be a midfield but unbeaten Southampton guest this time around, while his city rival, currently defending third Liverpool as Saturday, will visit Sheffield on Saturday night. The Reds started the Champions League with a victory at Ajax Amsterdam’s home on Wednesday, so they can look forward to the match with good omens despite Virgil van Dijk not being able to play for long months.

After three wins in a row, Leicester City, who have lost twice in a row, will be at the home of Arsenal, who has the same score on the table, and could benefit from playing in the Europa League on Thursday (today) overtime, unlike their London rival.

Also El-mainboard Tottenham will play away against the undefeated Burnley on Monday night, while Manchester City will be the guest at West Ham United’s home.
