Ante Covic's junior coach can be the successor to Pál Dárdai's head coach at Hertha's football team.
German Bild, who is known for his generally credible information, says the 43-year-old is a favorite to take over the position of a Hungarian trainer leaving at the end of the season. The manager of Michael Preetz thinks it is too expensive for the other two candidates, André Villas-Boas from Portugal, and David Wagner from the United States, who was also selected by Schalke, to look for an in-house solution like Dardai.
Covic is currently in the lead of Hertha U23, with fourth place in the fourth line. Next to it, Preetz said to Kicker: "We want to keep the values of our association and continue to build on the new generation . This will be a requirement for the new coach. ”
In February 2015, Dardai took over the leadership of the Berlin team, and the club announced in mid-April that they would leave at the end of the season.
