At the end of the season, the RB Leipzig football club will not end up at the end of the season with Timo Werner, the German national team striker.
Oliver Mintzlaff, CEO of the fourth Bundesliga club, said Thursday at the Kicker Sports Magazine, at the latest at the end of this season, whether Werner, 22, is willing to extend his contract for the coming summer or to leave. This is necessary because the Leipzig "can't afford" to have one of their best free from them.
The striker is also interested in Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
Mintzlaff added, they hope they can plan for a long term with Werner. According to the club leader, the player would have a good investment in sports if he stayed, but he would only be able to do so if he did not strive for the highest possible salary.
