Antoine Griezmann from FC Barcelona has returned to the football team of Atlético Madrid, which has lent Saúl Níguez to defending champions Chelsea in the Champions League.
With the French in 2018, world champion Griezmann signed two years ago - for 120 million euros - from the capital club to the Catalan band. The clubs said Barcelona had agreed to a one-year loan with the attacking former band. They added that the contract offers any team the option to extend the loan or purchase for one year.
According to Barcelona, there is also a possible call option in the contract - which, according to Spanish press reports, is 40 million euros - and the champions of the championship title Madrid have taken over Griezmann's annual salary in full. According to a Catalan website, the 30-year-old footballer has played in 102 stakes matches - 89 of them in the starting lineup - and has been successful on their team 35 times.
At the same time, Saúl Níguez, a 26-year-old midfielder who has been a player of the club since 2008, left Atlético Madrid and has been in the first frame since 2012, with the exception of his one-year lending period. The Madrid team scored 43 goals and gave 20 assists in 340 bets. The London team has borrowed the Spanish national team player for a year, according to press reports, for € 5 million and could gain ownership for € 40 million next year.
Chelsea's club director Marina Granovskaya highlighted that an experienced, immediately deployable footballer, who has already proven his skills at the highest level, has been contracted for important tasks at the club, which is also interested in five tournament series this season.
