Jupp Heynckes has ranked Robert Lewandowski as world-class footballer, who left him in the top spot in the German Bundesliga's top scorer on Wednesday.
About the Polish striker Heynckes noted that he was most impressed by his professionalism.
"Absolutely world-class, especially this season. It was a privilege to be able to work with him," he said of former coach Bayern Munich.
Lewandowski has scored 30 goals in 24 games in the club season and has scored 19 times in 16 matches in the league. He currently maintains the Bundesliga top scorers list; one goal ahead of Timo Werner (RB Leipzig).
Lewandowski has doubled in Saturday's championship double to the 74-year-old Jupp Heyncke, who retired with 220 hits, but has been third in the Polish standings with 221 goals since Wednesday.
31-year-old Lewandowski has only Gerd Müller (365 goals) and Klaus Fischer (268) on the leaderboard.
