According to press information, Gábor Király also has a chance to be the successor of Zsolt Petry, who was fired on Tuesday, in the position of goalkeeper of the Hertha BSC football team, for the remaining seven matches of the current Bundesliga season.
Bild wrote about this, but the Berlin club did not comment on the information.
Gábor Király, 45, who is a national team record holder with 108 performances, was a player of Hertha between 1997 and 2004 as a teammate of the current head coach, Pál Dárdai.
The ex-goalkeeper retired two years ago, and has since operated his sports center in his hometown, Szombathely.
On Tuesday, the German association expelled Zsolt Petry with immediate effect due to the statements he made in an interview with the Hungarian Nation regarding immigration and same-sex marriage.
