Two rounds before the end of the regular season, the Denver Broncos in the professional American football league (NFL) fired their head coach, Nathaniel Hackett.
The owner of the two-time champion club, Greg Penner, announced his decision on Monday, and it is expected that on Tuesday he will name the one who will manage the team in the last two meetings of the season.
The Broncos started the new season with high hopes after acquiring quarterback Russell Wilson from Seattle, but they performed very poorly this season, with only four wins after 15 games, and they will definitely not make the playoffs.
Hackett, who was appointed in January of this year, is the third head coach to be replaced in the current NFL draft. Previously, the Carolina Panthers fired Matt Rhule and the Indianapolis Colts fired Frank Reich.
