Smooth home victories in the Professional American Football League (NFL) major group finals, leading the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl.
While the Tennessee Titans led 17-7 at home to Kansas City, the Chiefs offensive line led by Patrick Mahomes was overall unstoppable. The young manager passed for 294 yards, including three touchdowns, and 53 yards on the floor and a 6-pointer. Kansas City qualified for the Grand Final for the first time since 1969.
With the San Francisco 49ers running back in the National Group, he easily defeated the Green Bay Packers with Jimmy Garoppolo, the Californian's manager with just eight passes and 42 starts. Raheem Moster was the best at that, scoring 220 yards on 29 attempts with four touchdowns. This is the second-best playoff performance in NFL history behind Eric Dickerson's 248-yard record.
Interestingly, the 49ers became the third team in NFL history to qualify for the Super Bowl with just four wins in the previous season
The Super Bowl will be held on February 2 in Miami.
