Manager Cam Newton, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2015 season in the Professional American Football League (NFL), will continue his career at the New England Patriots.
The first pick of the 2011 draft (player exchange) has spent his career so far with the Carolina Panthers, with which he won the Super Bowl in his best season, but fell short of the Denver Broncos in the 50th final.
The player, who was previously "life-threatening" with his passes and runs, was unable to deliver his usual performance in recent years due to injuries, so the Panthers terminated his contract in the off-season and was therefore freely justifiable.
In New England, the management position has become a key issue as six-time champion Tom Brady left the club after twenty years and is certified for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Newton, 31, has signed a one-year contract and is expected to earn $ 7.5 million.
