Joakim Noah has a contract until the end of the season with the Los Angeles Clippers in the North American Basketball Championship (NBA).
The 35-year-old center, which was voted the NBA’s best defender in 2014, signed a ten-day contract with the California club shortly before the shutdown after the coronavirus epidemic in March, but is now scheduled to end the season at the end of July.
The son of legendary French tennis player Yannick Noah was a player for the Chicago Bulls from 2007 to 2016, then spent two years with the New York Knicks, strengthening the Memphis Grizzlies team the previous season.
The NBA is scheduled to continue at Disney World in Orlando, with 22 bands already in play or potentially bidding. Before the shutdown, the Clippers were second in the Western main group behind urban rival Lakers.
